Weekend update

Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. My 2nd attempt at tailgating worked out beautifully. The weather was PERFECT for a fall collegiate football game, and if things couldn't get better we actually pulled off the most complete game of the year against a very good team and won. On top of that Texas Tech almost got shut out by a winless (up until Saturday morning) Colorado Buffalos team. It still kills me that we lost to those sand fleas. I can only imagine the complete collapse of the Tech faithful after Saturday.
What to look forward to this week....
Well OSU is currently the favorite to win by +1 pt. So basically it's anyones game according to Vegas. OSU has put up impressive numbers against opponents this season. They have a dual threat QB, two capable RB's and talented receivers.
HOWEVER, assuming we play Aggie football, there offense will sit idle on the sidelines for most of the game as we run the ball down their throats. By the 2nd half we hopefully will have broken their backs (see opponents d-line in 2nd half in past 7 games). I know this is a crazy observation, but it seems our defense plays better if they are on the field for 18-25 minutes a game, as opposed to 35-40 minutes like last year.
Right now I'm more worried about OSU and Baylor on the road than I am about Nebraska and OU. I might even venture to say if we can get past OSU and Baylor we have a shot at Texas this year. Yes you heard me, tu in Austin. Anotherwords if we take care of business, we play New Years Day in the Cotton Bowl to face some ridiculously hard SEC team or to the BCS to face God only knows. Either way I really want a bowl game win this year.
Here's OSU fans after Saturday's game.
